  • Jeff Jaggers

    Lead Pastor

Jeff has been at Fenton United Methodist Church since 2014.  Prior to coming to Fenton, Jeff served in ministry in Flushing, Grayling, Snover and Port Huron, Michigan.  Jeff is passionate about equipping followers of Jesus Christ to reach out to all people with the love of God through hands-on mission and ministry.

Jeff is a foodie, a wanderer, and a dreamer.  As a kid he wanted to play the guitar in the worst way - and he seems to have accomplished his goal.  More than anything, Jeff is trying to follow Jesus with all of his heart, mind, soul and strength, and love his neighbor.  He would love to have you join him on that journey.

  • Matt Packer

    Chancel Choir Director/Music Coordinator

Matt rejoined the ministry at Fenton in 2017, having served here previously from 1999-2005. His formal training in music began at age eleven taking piano lessons and playing trombone in the band. A life-long United Methodist, he sang in the children’s and youth choirs, played in the orchestra, and began developing his music composition “chops” with the church’s Music Director. As an undergraduate music student at Central Michigan University in 1983, Matt formed and directed a touring choir. This opened the door to realize a calling that has led him to serve churches in Farwell, Flint, Clare, Fenton, and Flushing.
Creating and celebrating community through the gifts of worship and music are Matt’s passion. This passion is also expressed in his work as the Choral Director at Mott Community College and Mott Middle College, Choir Accompanist at Swartz Creek High School, Director of The Flint Male Chorus and Music Director for Swartz Creek Center Stage Community Theater. Since 2008, Matt has been in music ministry with his childhood friend in a duo called Brother 2 Brother, performing for sacred and civic events with the message that what unites us as Christians and as a human family outweighs what divides us. He is blessed to share in the journey with his wife, Kristi, and four adult children.
