What is The Walk to Emmaus
The Walk to a Emmaus is a three day experience of nurturing our soul, and our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is a highly structured Weekend event designed to strengthen and renew our faith and through us to renew our families our congregations in our communities. The Walk to Emmaus is held at a local church. There is not actual "walking" aside from getting around the church. Participants are treated to a time of prayer, Eucharist, learning, fellowship and spiritual growth. Because this is a United Methodist-sponsored event, the teaching is based on Wesleyan theology. Other denominations have a similar program.
