The Walk to Emmaus
The Walk to Emmaus
What is The Walk to Emmaus
The Walk to a Emmaus is a three day experience of nurturing our soul, and our relationship with God through Jesus Christ. It is a highly structured weekend (Thursday night thru Sunday afternoon) event designed to strengthen and renew our faith, and through us to renew our families our congregations in our communities. The Walk to Emmaus is held at a local church. There is no actual "walking" aside from getting around the church. Participants are treated to a time of prayer, Eucharist, learning, fellowship and spiritual growth. Because this is a United Methodist-sponsored event, the teaching is based on Wesleyan theology. Other denominations have a similar program.
